On September 18-19, 2015, the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of Texas held its 26th Annual Labor and Employment Law Institute in San Antonio, Texas. At the conference, Glenda Pittman (Austin) and Fito Agraz (Ogletree Deakins, Dallas) gave a presentation discussing recent developments relating to the National Labor Relations Board.
Pittman and Agraz presented a paper co-authored by Rod Tanner and Matt Pierce, titled Recent Developments Under the National Labor Relations Act, which discussed several significant issues addressed by the Board over the past year, including the new joint employer doctrine under Browning-Ferris and the Northwestern decision blocking the unionization of university student-athletes.
